Great location, friendly/professional staff, helpful/accommodating, delicious breakfast buffet, lovely atmosphere.

I really enjoyed how accommodating the staff was to us during our stay. They were very personable and helped us with anything we needed. I liked the location for it's view of the Altenburg Castle.

The rooms need updating. The seem to be updating carpeting in the hallways, so maybe they are working towards the rooms. But the rooms had paint peeling from the walls and was in need of some warm colors. It was kept very clean throughout though. Also needs more parking, but I am not sure where they would find it.

Within easy walk to the towns cafe bars etc..with comfortable walking shoes as it is hilly in places. Breakfast was typically good and plentiful, breakfast staff were that efficient that my table was cleared again whilst at the buffett!

Parking is tight and the lift is too with 3 or more in it....but there's always the stairs.

This hotel offers excellent value for money. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the attention to detail and the basic amenities provided. The rooms with a view are a definite highlight, with balconies offering a picturesque vista of the surrounding area. The location in the midst of a residential area adds a charming touch to the overall experience. The staff are friendly and the service is top-notch. The hotel is kept to a high level of cleanliness, ensuring a comfortable stay for all guests.

Everything was just fine.

The hotel is outside the main centre of Bamberg, so it has the advantage of on-site parking and it's only a 10 minute walk from the old town. Breakfast was very good, the room was comfortable, with a good view, and spotlessly clean.

Our room was on the top floor, so there was reduced headroom under the eaves and the lift did not go to our floor (neither of these were big issues for us).

The friendly staff and being close to the old Bamberg without actually living there.

The TV had been around for quite some time.

Nestled on a picturesque hillside, this charming hotel offers magnificent views of a popular attraction and is located just a short walk from the bustling old town and the historic train station. Nearby, you'll find the popular Greifenklau brewery, a great place to unwind. the rooms are comfortable, clean and spacious, and the service is exemplary. the daily breakfast is delicious with plenty of fresh options available to start your day off right. Free parking and complimentary internet are convenient extras that make the stay even better.

While the hotel's exterior may not be the most appealing, the interior exceeds expectations and makes up for the initial impression.

Excellent staff, and great location and view from the balcony

It is a hotel which I could really recommend on every level. However, it is not in the centre but there are good bus connections. One that is easy to walk to but runs only every 40 minutes, on Saturday less and not at all on Sundays. However, there is another bus that goes every 10 minutes but it means a climb up a fairly steep hill which is behind the hotel. In fact, all of Bamberg which is really really pretty is hilly. It is not difficult to walk around but people should know in advance that the hotel is on a hill.

Ideally located for old town, friendly staff, nice breakfast, decent room size, great atmosphere.

Cleanliness and breakfast

Hard to find, sat nav did not find it. Had to ask at Best western who were very helpful.

This hotel provides a peaceful and scenic view of the city. It is close to the historic downtown and located on a beautiful hillside. The hotel’s tidy rooms and the friendly staff made my stay a pleasant experience. Additionally, the morning buffet breakfast included a diverse selection of food.

Can't fault the property in any way.

Light, airy, modern, good breakfast. Peaceful. Town was a little far away to call a "short walk", but certainly do-able. Wonderful town and lots to do and see around the area.

Had to go out to eat in the evening, but very good Beer Garden a few minutes away (watch out for "closed" days) and lots of places to eat in Bamberg itself.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed here. Easy acess to the city if you do not mind walking takes about 20 minutes down and 25 back up. Breakfast good rooms and decor a bit tired.
